The Not-So-Good Times

There are times, as I explained in my previous blog post, where you feel perfect and never want to leave the moment you've entered. There are others, however, where you feel exactly the opposite. They may be a result of leaving said perfect moment; they may be caused by food or sleep deficiencies; they might be completely random and spontaneous. But one thing's for sure - if you feel like that, you'd better have some awesome friends or family to bail you out... Because if they don't, you'll get sucked into your depression further and further like sinking into a never-ending armspan-length circular hole of quicksand. And it's really, really hard to come out.

It may have been for just a couple of hours, but that's sort of how I felt today. I'm not sure if it was the not-so-great grade I got in history (probably not; I really don't allow my emotions to suffer because of grades) or if I hadn't eaten enough (skipping lunch for Spanish filming and coming home at 4:30), but something just didn't feel right. Now I'm sitting, at midnight, writing yet another blog post tonight because I'm not in the best mood to study for a biology quiz - especially not about what we're learning...

But the good news is that even though I'm not studying for biology for more than the 40 minutes I had earlier today; even though it's past midnight and I'm not asleep and might not be for a while - I'm happy. I'm happy because I have the best friends to cheer me up, a sister who really cares, amazing teachers who assign work that's fun to do (Spanish scripting might be annoying... but it really is fun; Ted Talk videos are awesome even if they're not homework ;)) and a blog that I'm always eager to write on. So you know what, if you're in a bad mood, think about the nice things in your life and smile. And as always, don't let anything kill your time - it's yours and you deserve all of it, so make the most of it.

Edit: So I studied for bio (yeah, it's 1:55 a.m. now)... It was actually really fun though with the right attitude!
